Cheat Sheet to Versatile Blog Fonts

In need of Blog Fonts List for your blog? This post is for you!

Before I start talking, I just want to tell you that this is not a sponsored post by Dafont.com. It's just the site where I get these fonts and I am just sharing it with you.

I was a fanfiction writer and graphic artist at Asianfanfics way back 2014. It is a website where you write fanfictions about your favorite Asian celebrities. I was known to write fanfictions about Kim Taeyeon (Girls Generation) and Leeteuk (Super Junior). Well that was 3-5 years ago and I am not that into fanfictions anymore. I am now focusing on blogging. Here are some of my works as a graphic artist there.

If you're interested to read my works there just tell me, I'll link some of them to you. I was once plagiarised by someone. She copied one of the novels I made in Asianfanfics and uploaded it in Wattpad. I reported her, thus her Wattpad account got suspended and deleted.

Now in college, I've been busy working with my org's publications for marketing purposes. Some of my friends has been asking me where I get the fonts I use for these pubs as well as the name of the fonts that I use. Then I thought, I should do a post about it since a number of people have been repeatedly asking me these same questions. You probably need a guide or list of suggested fonts to use for your own pubs as well that’s why you’re here right?

Don’t fret! I’ll show you the fonts that I usually use in making pubs!
These are just a few of the ones that I am using for some of our pubs. The fonts that you should use for making pubs must complement the theme of the pub you’re making. If you’re making a pub for Halloween and you use a curly girly font, I do think it will make your pub look a bit off. The pubs I usually make are a cheerful and joyful theme that is why I shared those fonts. I'm planning to do a part 2 of this since I really know a lot of fonts you may use for almost anything!

Do you have any fonts in mind that you want to add on my list? Comment them down so I can download it too!

  7. I AM CRAZY ABOUT FONTS. This maybe sounded crazy, especially with caps lock on, but it's true. I downloaded so many apps but I ended up disappointed. Then I got into thinking and found my perfect font in Paint - Windows accessories. It's called Rage, and I used to make my blog's logo.

  11. I love the fonts, Sweet Pea and Jonah ones are my favourites. I don't know what font I use on my blog but I like it as its not fancy and is easy to read, some fonts are quite curly and hurt your eyes trying to decipher what they say :D

  17. OMG! I'm not a graphic artist but I'm nuts about fonts. I have thousands in my computer right now and I'm in the middle of erasing some that I don't use so I can make space for more. hahaha. I love dafont.com too! And I love your taste in fonts- some of the ones you featured I already have but I don't have Jonah, Nazeefa and Bear Hugs. Will download those next! Thank you! Love, love this post. :)

  18. I rarely download fonts unless I need something really special for a design project. For online stuff I tend to stick to google safe fonts so I dont have to worry about how they display on various devices. This could possibly be though because it all seems to hard ;-)

  19. We have Steve Jobs to thank for the fonts. In 1985, when I first started using computers, there was no such thing as fonts. I think it was around that time when he introduced a few fonts on a Macintosh, but I do not have access to it. Fast forward to today, there are tons of incredible fonts out there. Most are free, but there are the paid ones too.

Since I started blogging, one of the challenges has been to find the font pairing that works for me, but more importantly, easy on the eyes.

For that I use Google Fonts, and it has a great feature where you are given suggestions on font pairings for every font you picked.

I think the use of fancy fonts works best in illustrations and others, but for blogging itself, those designed for typography and reading ease are the ones you want to choose.

  23. I used to download from that specific site for school and work purposes. Now, I need not to since I had to stick with our fonts for branding. I like the fonts that you suggested though. I'll try to use it when I have a chance. By the way, I saw your profile that you're a La Sallian engineer. Awesome! My partner was too and I'm an AISECer myself. Keep up the great job of maintaing a site 😊

  24. I have never given much importance to fonts used. Guess it is high time I focus on it a bit more. Themed fonts do connect to the readers. I liked how you have done this in a good illustrative manner.

  25. I used to use some of the fonts you have there. Though if I need new fonts for something, I search in pinterest and there will be lots of fonts waiting to be used. Unlike you, I'm not into publication but For blogging, I tend to use cool fonts because it's what makes some blogs look nice and professional.

  26. Interesting... it is my first time to hear about dafont.com actually so this is new to me and I will take consideration of trying one of these. Your graphics are really cool, too bad someone stole that from you but good to hear you fought for it too.
